Aloha Quilters and the Society for Kona’s Education &Art present the Quilt and Fiber Arts Show from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 13 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 14 in Honaunau.
The biennial show takes place at SKEA, 84-5191 Mamalahoa Highway, and showcases the work of Big Island artists and craftspeople. It is an opportunity for local quilters and fiber artists to display their newest creations, but older and antique pieces will be displayed as well.
In past years, there have been more than 100 entries, ranging from bed quilts and wall hangings to wearable art.
Many of the entries will be offered for sale, and there also will be a small vendors’ area where new quilting and fabric-related items can be purchased.
