The nonprofit Big Island Wellness Solutions announced the distribution of its second “Hawai‘i Healthy Me” booklet to every Hawaii Island fourth-grader.

This year’s booklet, which promotes healthy lifestyles, is sponsored by KTA Super Stores and the Margaret B. Shipman Foundation. Kohala Elementary School fourth-graders were the first students to receive this year’s copies.

Audrey Wilson, Big Island Wellness Solutions executive director, shares with the booklet’s sponsors her passion for a healthier Hawaii and says “we are what we eat.”

Together with her team, illustrator Gary Hoff, Carla Kuo, Reid and Dean Shigeoka, and her husband, Jim Wilson, “Hawai‘i Healthy Me” will be distributed with the assistance of the Rotary Club of South Hilo and other organizations.
