Sai Tummala made a 3-pointer to give Hawaii a 65-63 lead with 51 seconds remaining, and Aaron Parks missed a layup for the Matadors with 44 seconds to play. Hawaii then ran down the shot clock before Sheriff Drammeh’s layup attempt rimmed out, but Quincy Smith was there for the rebound and had a two-handed slam dunk with 13.3 seconds left to seal it for the Rainbow Warriors.
Jankovic had 23 points in the second half and finished 12 of 13 from the field as the Hawaii won again without Aaron Valdes, who was late scratch. Roderick Bobbitt added nine points, Smith and Tummala had six apiece for Hawaii (21-3, 10-1 Big West Conference), which has won five straight and stayed a game ahead of UC Irivine ahead of the their showdown Saturday night (6:30 p.m., ESPNU)
Isaac Fleming played for the first time after a four-game absence and had two points in 19 minutes.

Destiny King contributed her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds, Sarah Toeaina also had 13 and the Rainbow Wahine beat UC Davis 60-40 in Honolulu for the sixth win in a row.
Hawaii (16-9, 9-3 Big West) pulled away with a 16-0 run spanning the second and third quarters, and led by as many as 23 in the fourth quarter.
