Hawaiian Community Assets recently celebrated the opening of its new office in Keaukaha.

Joined by partners, clients and community members, the celebration highlighted the nonprofit’s commitment to serving Hawaii Island families with financial education and housing counseling. Food and refreshments were served and Keaukaha musicians provided live music.

HCA’s Financial Opportunity Center, in partnership with local providers, will offer career and small-business training, financial education and counseling, and access to public benefits, free tax preparation, loans and grants.

“The vision of this center is to be a community gathering place where our families can share and learn from one another,” said HCA Island Manager Kelly Lincoln.

The center, located at 1315 Kalanianaole Ave., has open office space available to service providers for rent.
