Born in Beech Grove, Ind., he co-founded Wong and Murray, a San Francisco-area public relations firm, was a radio news and sports reporter and award-winning video producer, and member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, past director of the Northern California Golf Association and golf champion of Diablo Country Club.
