Braden Kojima

Braden Kojima

Sport: Soccer

Kojima might not have been the best player on the field in any of the three matches that Hawaii Prep won en route to winning its first HHSAA Division II title soccer title last Saturday, but taken as a whole, his contributions were immeasurable.

His teammates got much of the individual glory for scoring goals (Justin Perry and Austin Schneider) or helping to stop them (Sihkea Jim, Dylan Ryan and Alex Brost), but coach Rich Braithwaite recognized Kojima as the man in the midfield who made everything click.

“He was brilliant in all three games, and got lost in the mix because he didn’t get any goals/assists,” Braithwaite said.
