Hill named broker at Hawaii Life

Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers announce the addition of Renée Hill as broker-in-charge, Hilo office.

A graduate of Hilo High School, Hill has degrees from Leeward Community College and the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Licensed since 1999 and a broker for more than a decade, for the past 11 years Hill has mentored real estate agents at several Hawaii firms.

Before joining Hawaii Life, she worked at Aloha Coast Realty, Coldwell Banker Day-Lum Properties and Re/Max Properties.

As broker-in-charge, Hill will oversee a staff of 13 real estate agents and brokers at the Hawaii Life Hilo office, 500 Kalanianaole Ave.

Firm welcomes structural designer

Engineering Partners Inc. of Hilo recently hired structural designer Adriano J. Teixeira.

Teixeira brings to the firm nearly 40 years of experience in structural and seismic expertise, with more than 1,017 projects and estimated construction costs of $1.3 trillion.

His previous position was lead structural designer with AECOM in Los Angeles.

Teixeira was born on the island of Faial in the Azores, Portugal, and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1967.

He now makes his home in Keaau with his wife, Louise.

Pacific Biodiesel founders named to Top 100 list

For the second consecutive year, Bob and Kelly King, co-founders of Pacific Biodiesel Technologies, were included on the list of Top 100 People in the Advanced Bioeconomy.

Published by Biofuels Digest, recipients are nominated and voted on by readers and the publication’s editorial board.

The Top 100 list recognizes industry leaders, government officials and researchers from around the world.

The awards were presented in February at a reception during the Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.

“We are honored to be included on this list by Biofuels Digest,” said Bob King, president of Pacific Biodiesel.

The company’s newest facility, Big Island Biodiesel, features state-of-the-art distillation technology and produces high-quality biodiesel.
