Voters cast their ballots in the Hawaii GOP presidential caucus Tuesday night at the Hilo High School cafeteria. A long line numbering in the hundreds snaked around the building, with registered Republicans waiting their turn to vote. Poll watcher Jim O’Keefe said the turnout was strong in 2012, but described Tuesday’s turnout as “even bigger.” Said O’Keefe: “Another one of our poll watchers in Pahoa said the turnout there is just as good. It’s quite impressive.” With 16 of 45 precincts reporting by press time Tuesday, Donald Trump was leading with 44 percent of the vote and Sen.
