Police are seeking witnesses to an assault and vandalism incident in Pepeekeo.

A 21-year-old Hilo woman reported that at approximately 3 a.m. Monday, she was traveling on Kumula Street in Pepeekeo when a car driven by an unknown woman intentionally struck her car, almost causing her to lose control of the vehicle.

The unknown woman then reportedly got out of her sedan near the second entrance to the Kulaimano Housing Complex, and struck the victim’s car several times, causing damage. The unknown woman then struck the victim on the head, causing pain and injury.

The unknown woman is described as Polynesian, about 5 feet five inches tall, 200 pounds with brown eyes and long brown hair. Her car was described as a light-colored Saturn two-door sedan.
