According to a release, athletes will gain skills and strategies in running, jumping and hurdling.

Globetrotters

back for shows

The Harlem Globetrotters will bring their unrivaled family show to the Big Island at 7 p.m. April 21 at Kealakehe High’s gym, and at 7 p.m. April 22 at Hilo Civic.

The Globetrotters are dedicating their 90th year to two legends who passed away in 2015, Meadowlark Lemon and Marques Haynes.

Hilo accepting

applications

Hilo High is accepting applications for a boys varsity basketball head coach, girls varsity soccer head coach and boys/girls air riflery head coach.

All interested applicants can pick up application at the school’s main office. The deadline to apply is Friday.

Hoops camp

in Honokaa

The Kalakaua Basketball Camp, featuring coach Dennis Agena, will be held April 8-10 at Honokaa Parks and Rec Gym.

For students in kindergarten through 12th grade, registration will be at 4:30 p.m. April 8.

The fee is $60, and walk-ins will be accepted.
