Born in Honolulu, he was a retired cable splicer for the former Hawaiian Telephone Co., U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean War, member of Disabled American Veterans Kona Chapter 7 and was involved in forest restoration projects at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery.
