Harry Yoshio Onouye, 74, of Hilo died April 2 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was retired from the Hawaii County Fire Department, a U.S. Army veteran, hunter and fitness enthusiast. Visitation 3:30-5 p.m. Saturday (April 23) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Kaaren Onouye of Hilo; daughters, Shaun (Randall) Ikeda of Orange, Calif., and Teri (Mako) Yoshitake of Sierra Madre, Calif.; brothers, Ronald (Marie) Onouye of Kurtistown and Donn Onouye of Hilo; sister, Marsha (Danny) Kayano of Hilo; brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Beatrice) Miyasato of Hilo and Myles (Debbie) Miyasato of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Linda (Clifford) Wilson of Garden Grove, Calif.; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
