Sam Isami Ishigo, 77, of Honomu died April 12 in Hilo. Born in Honomu, he was a licensed real estate broker and owner of Pacific Pan Properties, Ishigo Store and Bakery, founded the Ninway Martial Arts Academy and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Services held. Survived by wife, Jeanette Ishigo of Honomu; children, Rhonda Selner of Phoenix, Kelly Ishigo of San Francisco, Aaron (Amanda) Ishigo of Honomu and Darlene (Andy) Ishigo-Lutz of Oakland, Calif.; brothers, David (Winnie) Ishigo, Harold (Donna) Ishigo and Thomas (Ellen) Ishigo of Honolulu, Dennis (Sheila) Ishigo of Hilo; sister, Jean (Wayne) Suzuki of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Janette “Jan” May Moon, 86, of Hilo died April 13 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in New Concord, Ohio, she was a silk artist, author, illustrator, conservation activist and charter member of Sierra Club Moku Loa Group. Celebration of life 3-6 p.m. Sunday (April 24) at Wailoa State Park pavilion No. 2. Casual attire. Dennis Lehua Sin, 70, of Hilo died April 9 at home. Born in Kohala, he was a retired Hawaii Army National Guard sergeant.
