Police are renewing their request for information about a robbery Jan. 26 in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna.

Police are renewing their request for information about a robbery Jan. 26 in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna.

A 30-year-old woman told police that about 9 a.m. that day, she was checking her mailbox on Paradise Drive near 21st Avenue when she was confronted by a knife-wielding man who demanded money.

The suspect fled into the bushes after removing cash from the victim’s wallet.

The suspect is described as in his mid-20s, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short brown hair and a tan complexion. He was wearing a gray or white tank top and black shorts.
