Kilauea Military Camp in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is celebrating 100 years of proudly serving America’s military and invites everyone to “Remember and Honor,” a special centennial Memorial Day ceremony from 3-4 p.m. May 30 on the KMC front lawn.

Kilauea Military Camp in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is celebrating 100 years of proudly serving America’s military and invites everyone to “Remember and Honor,” a special centennial Memorial Day ceremony from 3-4 p.m. May 30 on the KMC front lawn.

Col. Richard Fromm, commander, U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii, will be the keynote speaker and Daniel Caluya, principle of Na Wai Ola School will be the guest speaker. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the camp lobby’s Koa Room.

There will be a special centennial-themed Memorial Day buffet after the ceremony from 4-7 p.m. in the Crater Rim Café, featuring pot roast with potatoes, honey-glazed ham, Panko-crusted ono and much more. The public is invited to attend. Park fees apply.
