It’s not too late to purchase tickets for the fourth annual Hilo Brewfest on June 18 at the Wainaku Executive Center.
Tickets are available online at www.hilobrewfest.com (click on “Tickets”) or at Mehana Brewery, 275 E. Kawili St. in Hilo, from noon-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday.
Hilo Brewfest will feature 32 local and mainland breweries, pouring more than 60 beers from which to choose. In addition, nearly 15 local restaurants will offer free food sampling. Entertainment will include local bands and hilarity provided by “fake” padded sumo wrestlers.
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hilo, the event will benefit two local charities directly: the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of East Hawaii, a nonprofit that helps abused keiki, and the Hilo Medical Foundation’s Residency Program that trains and encourages new doctors to stay in the community.
Funds also go to the club’s Charitable Foundation that helps local organizations purchase defibrillators, books for keiki in kindergarten and support youth with leadership training.
Tickets are $50 or $90 for VIP. For more information, visit www.hilobrewfest.com.
