‘Lili‘uokalani’ show rescheduled
“Lili‘uokalani at Washington Place,” a one-woman show by University of Hawaii at Hilo performing arts professor Jackie Pualani Johnson at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, was rescheduled.
Johnson’s performance, with dialogue taken directly from the writings of Queen Lili‘uokalani, the queen’s family and other historical sources, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Kilauea Visitor Center Auditorium.

Dark to perform at Kalani Honua
Storyteller Kimberly Dark will present a sneak-peek performance titled “Fat, Forward and Fine: A funny-sexy-thinky voyage into living large!” at 7:30 p.m. June 11 at Kalani Honua, 12-6860 Kalapana-Kapoho Road in Pahoa.
Admission is $7 to $15 at the door.
Dark has performed for nearly 20 years in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia. Her funny and poignant essays have been published in numerous journals and online publications. When she’s not traveling, Dark lives in Puna, teaches at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and offers workshops on facilitation and conflict resolution islandwide.
