Kristi Cheng, 67, of Hilo died May 25 at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Honolulu. Born in California, she worked for a taxi service. Private services. Survived by husband, Peter Cheng; mother, Helen Hoff; daughters, Angela Ballesteros and Cindy Inouye; sons, Matthew Buelow and Bud Buelow; brothers, Henry Hoff, Roy Hoff, Tony Hoff and Daniel Hoff; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Lionel Micah Riley, 59, of Hilo died May 30 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Born in Juneau, Alaska, he was an attorney in private practice and loved traveling with family and music. Memorial service 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Church of the Holy Apostles, 1407 Kapiolani St., Hilo. The family will greet friends and relatives after the service. Yaeko Shiotsuka, 94, of Napoopoo died June 8 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was a former board member of Kona Transportation Co. and member of Tsuchimutsu Kumiai, Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Kona Hongwanji Fujin Kai and Kona Hongwanji Shinwa Kai. Private services at a later date. Survived by sons, Dr. Ronald Shiotsuka of Captain Cook and Albert Shiotsuka of Kailua-Kona; daughter, June (Sam) Taguma of Kailua-Kona; brother, Thomas Nakano of Honolulu; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
