The correct date of the group planting demonstration during next month’s Wailoa Center bonsai display is July 2 at 11 a.m.
A story in Friday’s Tribune-Herald had the wrong date.
The Mokuhonua Bonsai Club and Hilo Bonsai Kyoshitsu invites the public to the bonsai display July 1-2 at the center, 200 Piopio St. in Hilo. Display hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. July 1 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 2. Admission is free.
Group planting consists of selectively placing a number of plants in a tray to form a forest setting.
