Richard “Dick” Oscar Linke, 98, of Holualoa died June 15 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the longtime personal manager of the late entertainment icon Andy Griffith, associate producer of the TV series “The Andy Griffith Show,” and also managed the careers of other performers, including Jim Nabors, Ken Berry, Forrest Tucker, Frankie Avalon and Bobby Vinton. He was a production consultant for another long-running series starring Griffith, the courtroom drama “Matlock.” In addition, he was a member of Kona Elks Lodge No. 2616, former president of Lakeside Golf Club in Burbank, Calif., Ohio University alumnus with a scholarship in his name, and U.S. Army veteran. Survived by wife, Bettina Linke of Holualoa; sons, Paul (Christine) Linke of Los Angeles and Richard (Nicole) Linke Jr., of Haleiwa, Oahu; daughters, Nanci (Steve) Linke-Ellis and Katharine Linke of Los Angeles, Bettina Marie (L.J.) Alfonso Luguliol, 80, of Kailua-Kona died June 8. Born in Ulithi, Yap state, Federated States of Micronesia, he formerly worked for Yap state and enjoyed fishing and helping the community.
