Librada “Libring” “Badang” Cubar Belen, 31, of Papaaloa died June 14 at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama Care Center. She was born in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, the Philippines. Visitation 8-9 a.m. Saturday (June 25) at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Laupahoehoe. Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by parents, Romulo “Romy” “Molong” and Teresita “Tessie” “Tersing” Belen of Papaaloa; brothers, Roderick Belen of Papaaloa, Geronimo (Joana) Belen of the Philippines, Herry Belen of Germany and Harold Belen of Papaaloa; sisters, Mary Grace (John) Vlahovic of Ontario, Canada, and Angelica Reynell Belen of Papaaloa; a nephew, a niece, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kenneth Hayami Yoshimatsu, 82, of Honolulu died June 3. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired plumber, member of Plumbers and Fitters Union Local 675 and U.S. Air Force veteran.
