The Kahana Drive Bridge mauka of Highway 19 in Honokaa, is scheduled for repair work starting on Monday.
The bridge will close Monday and reopen July 1, weather permitting. Motorists will be able to use the Old Mamalahoa Highway and Kalehua Road as alternate routes. The bridge will be closed until work is completed.
The repair work involves the rehabilitation of the existing bridge structure which includes replacing the old timber components with new wood preservative treated components.
