A 54-year-old Mountain View woman wanted for a 2009 murder in Puna was taken into custody this morning in Las Vegas.

A 54-year-old Mountain View woman wanted for a 2009 murder in Puna was taken into custody this morning in Las Vegas.

Patricia Wong, also known as Patricia Hanoa, arrested by U.S. Marshals.

Wong was indicted last week on a second-degree murder charge for the the 2009 shooting death of Kaycee Smith in Orchidland Estates.

An extradition hearing will be scheduled for Wong, and Hawaii County Prosecutor Mitch Roth will seek to have her extradited here.

Police thank the public for several telephone and email tips providing information about Wong.
