Donald “Donnie” George DeSilva, 76, of Honokaa died June 18 at home. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired Parker Ranch foreman, cowboy and member of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Paniolo Hall of Fame, founding member of Paniolo Preservation Society, past member of Parker Ranch Roundup Club who won awards for saddlemaking and paniolo heritage preservation. Visitation 4-6:30 p.m. Friday (July 8) at Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea. Eulogy at 6:30 p.m. Mass at 7 p.m. Memorial at Pukalani Stables immediately following Mass. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by wife, Paula K. DeSilva of Honokaa; daughters, Stacie K. (David) Francis of Honokaa and Loriann L. (Troy) Fernandez of Keaau; son, Donald K. Paula Dee Leilani Gambol, 50, of Hilo, formerly of Kailua-Kona, died June 8 at home. Oswald “Ozzie” K. Irvine, 78, of Pahoa died June 28 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired electrical inspector for the Hawaii County Planning Department, U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Thursday Volcano Golfers.
