Ethel Yaeko Kaneshiro, 96, of Waimea died May 30 at home. Born in Waimea, she was a homemaker and member of Kamuela Hongwanji Mission and Buddhist Women’s Association. Services held. Tamio Kawasaki, 80, of Hilo died June 12 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired county parks caretaker, member of Hilo Higashi Hongwanji Mission and U.S. Army veteran. Arlene Bessie Lindamood, 92, of Hilo died June 17. She was born in Wisconsin. Services held. Masao Ochi, 97, of Hilo died June 20 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Puu Oo Ranch, South Hilo, he was the retired owner of the former Hilo Quality Cleaners, served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Service during World War II and a member of Hilo Meishoin Mission and Hilo Interpreters Club. Einobu “Yalo” Miyashiro, 91, of Pepeekeo died May 31 at Regency Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired warehouseman with the former C. Brewer and Co. and member of Honomu Hongwanji Mission. Services held. Survived by wife, Kimie Miyashiro of Kona; son, Gregg (Rhoda) Miyashiro of Hilo; daughter, Patty (Calvin) Okahara of Kona; brother, Isamu Miyashiro of California; sister, Carol Setsuko Miyashiro of California; sister-in-law, Terri Miyashiro of California; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Walter M. Schilling Jr., 66, of Pahoa died June 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, he was a retired security officer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Graveside services noon Tuesday (July 5) at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by wife, Judy Schilling of Pahoa; son, Walter M. Schilling of New Jersey; daughters, Jeanne (Anthony) Gelak of New Jersey and Tracy (Robert) Martin of South Carolina; sister, Samirah Amantullah “Deborah C.
