Born in Hilo, he was a retired Real Property Tax Office clerk, member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Halai Kumiai, Hawaii Shima Hiroshima Kenjin Kai, Hilo High School Class of 1948 and U.S. Army veteran.
