A Kona woman found in a stolen truck faces 13 charges.
On Monday, officers responded to a report that a 2006 Nissan Frontier pickup truck was stolen from a business on the 73-4100 block of Hulikoa Drive in Kailua-Kona sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, an employee of the business reported he located the stolen truck and detained a woman seated in the vehicle, which was parked in the Kealakehe subdivision.
Responding officers arrested the woman, 32-year-old Ashley Pagan of Kailua-Kona, and charged her with violating terms of probation. She was taken to the Kona police cellblock while detectives investigated. During the investigation, officers recovered a smoking pipe with methamphetamine residue from Pagan’s possession and mail belonging to other people from the truck.
At 6 p.m. Wednesday, Pagan was charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, promoting a dangerous drug, possessing drug paraphernalia, theft and eight counts of unauthorized possession of personal information. Her bail on all charges, including the probation violation, was set at $116,000.
She remained at the cellblock until her court appearance Thursday.
