A break-in at a Kona business has led to 14 charges against a Holualoa man.
On Jan. 15, officers responded to a report of a break-in to a business and company vehicle on the 73-4000 block of Hulikoa Drive in Kailua-Kona. The business reported cash, credit cards and keys were taken sometime between Jan. 14 and 15.
On Monday, police detectives arrested the suspect, 42-year-old Reny Weigang of Holualoa.
Weigang was charged Wednesday with burglary, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, theft/forgery of a credit card, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, three counts each of theft and forgery, and two counts each of identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.
His bail was set at $29,500 and his initial court appearance was Thursday.
