Rainbow Friends and Shear Magic Pet Salon will present the fifth “ShamPooch” dog wash and nail trim event from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Keaau Eagles Club.
Everyone is invited to bring their pooch for some primping, nail trimming and a photo shoot. Prices range from $5 to $10 for each service and all proceeds benefit Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit no-kill animal sanctuary that cares for and finds homes for approximately 330 dogs and cats that reside at the Kurtistown location.
All participants also will be eligible for a prize drawing regardless of what services they choose. Aloha Paws, a local supporter of the sanctuary, will provide doggy treats and there will be people treats for sale as well.
