Chizuko “Amy” Honma, 93, of Pepeekeo, formerly of Paauilo, died July 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ninole, she was a retired seamstress for the former Honokaa Hospital and member of Paauilo Hongwanji Mission and Paauilo Camp Community Association. Services held. No flowers and koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughters, Joyce (Robert) Kaya of Bellevue, Wash., Lorraine (Warren) Okabayashi of Pepeekeo, Arlene (Michael) Yuen of Mililani, Oahu, and Gayle (Benny) Yamamoto of Pukalani, Maui; sisters, Violet Tomoe Oketani of Honokaa and Janet (Paul) Togawa of Mission Viejo, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Faye Honma of Paauilo, Hatsuno Fujimoto and Matsue Fujimoto of Hilo, Doris Fujimoto of Honolulu, Marguerite (Kenneth) Matsumura of Gardena, Calif.; brother-in-law, Hisao Wakahiro of Torrance, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
