Alfredo Cacho Cabanting Sr., 87, of Keaau died Aug. 5 at Legacy Hilo Rehabitition and Nursing Center in Hilo. Born in Narvacan, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the former Puna Sugar Co., papaya and guava farmer and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
