Riots and looting

Riots and looting

What has America become?

Police shoot (probably rightfully so) a thug, and people use it as an excuse to riot and loot in Milwaukee. One person got shot and that makes it OK for rioters to become criminals? I don’t think so.

Some people are opposed to the “militarization of police.” Would you like to stand up to a mob without proper protection? Probably not.

If Milwaukee police did anything wrong it was not responding fast enough to protect the people and businesses affected by the rioting idiots.

Enough is enough already. Lucky we live Hawaii!

Useless polls

One thing this election cycle has proven is the uselessness of the polling system.

On any given day (or hour), you can find the candidates 12 points ahead, behind or tied. On one particular day, Reuters had “Clinton 12 points ahead” and an another article, “Trump surges,” back to back. What?

The polling companies simultaneously say their polls are accurate (plus or minus 3.5 percent) and complain the public won’t answer their phones to be annoyed by them.

If they wanted to be truthful and accurate, they should make their polling error plus or minus 50 percent (as in flipping a coin).

This means they will have to go back to tried and tested polling methods such as the Ouija board, the Magic 8 Ball and the dart board. Or, they could get off their fat, air-conditioned butts and go out in the street and ask.

There is hope, though. My favorite poll is the one with 13 percent of voters saying they want an asteroid to hit the Earth and end civilization so neither presidential candidate gets elected.

I’ll vote for that!
