Antonio “Tony” Helliangao, 80, of Hilo died on Aug. 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ka‘u, he was a retired county highways equipment operator, a U.S. Army veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Private services at a later date. Survived by wife, Evelyn Helliangao; sons, Kevin (Shanna Kamanu) Helliangao, Grant (Leslie) Helliangao and Nicolas Helliangao; daughter, Lureen (Michael) Komoda; brother, Albert (Itoe) Helliangao; sisters, Patsy Asejo and Beatrice (Gilbert) Ganzagan; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
