Abraham “Dong” Antonio, 93, of Papaikou died Sept. 19 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kapaa, Kauai, he was a retired cane truck driver for the former Mauna Kea Sugar Co., worked for the former Flintkote Company, Canec Division, and was a member of Immaculate Heart Mary Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 15) at Immaculate Heart Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Burial at Alae Cemetery, section H, row E, plot 26. Charles Nobuaki Kita, 88, of Kohala died Sept. 21 at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Kohala, he was a retired mill supervisor for the former Kohala and Hamakua sugar companies and member of Kohala Senior Citizens and Kohala Kumiai.
