Many factors are involved in managing your money, and it can be hard to separate wants from needs and personal expenses from professional. Where does one start, especially if planning is beginning a bit later in life?
In response to requests from residents looking for information about how to map out their financial future, AARP Hawaii is hosting a free workshop from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Hilo Aging and Disability Resource Center, 1055 Kinoole St.
AARP volunteer Joanna Amberger, CFP, will lead the two-hour financial planning workshop in an intimate setting that will allow for questions.
Participants will learn the difference between different types of investment options and how to factor in time and comfort with risk when making financial decisions.
