Richard Robert Risley, 75, of Pahoa died Oct. 11 at home. Born in Mitchel Field, N.Y., he was a retired ironworker; U.S. Navy veteran who served as a radioman, and later a highly certified ham radio operator (call sign WV6K); an award-winning member of the California Bowhunters and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1383 of Klamath Falls, Ore.
