Dalen Yamauchi claimed the Waikoloa Amateur Championship on Sunday at Waikoloa Village Golf Club for the second consecutive year.
Closing with a 72, Yamauchi bested Brett Furutani by three strokes.
Riley Kaneshiro won the A flight and Bob Fasciano captured senior flight.

Pilipaa registration
Pilipa’a Girls Volleyball will be holding a tryout for girls under-15, U16 and U17, depending on the amount of interest, from 5:30-8 p.m. at Andrew’s Gym from 5:30-8 p.m.
A limited number of new players will be accepted.
According to a release, “Pilipa’a girls volleyball concentrates on player development for high school and collegiate volleyball. It provides an opportunity to develop individual and team skills in a competitive and structured environment. Pilipa’a is not an ‘open gym’ or recreational atmosphere, but rather a place for athletes who are serious about self and team development. “
Pilipa’a girls will:
• participate in competitive tournaments
• create college profiles (for those interested in competing at the collegiate level)
• have access to Pilipa’a’s Hudl video account to create highlight video(s) for college profiles and to review individual technique and team play in tournament matches.
The club director is Chris Leonard, who has more than 20 years of coaching experience.

Honokaa hoops camp
The 2016 Kalakaua Basketball Camp, featuring Dennis Agena, will be held Friday-Sunday at Honokaa Parks and Recreation Gym for children and teenagers in kindergarten through the 12th grade.
Walk-ins may be accepted at a limit of 90 participants per session.

Sunrise Athletics Fun Runs – Supported by BioAstin will be held Nov. 6 at Panaewa Park.
The 5K and 1.5 mile run start at 8:30 a.m. while the half-mile will begin at 9:15 a.m. There will also be a rummage sale, silent auction, and inflatables.

Biddy hoops sign-ups
The Kohala Community Athletic Association is currently holding free Biddy Basketball registration through Nov. 2 for all Kohala youth ages 5-8.
Registration can be done at kcaa.online. Practices begin in mid-November and games run from Nov. 22 through Dec. 22 at Hisaoka Gym.
