Georgia Louise Merrill, 87, of Littleton, Colo., formerly of Hilo, died Oct. 23 at Cherrelyn Healthcare Center in Littleton. Born in Medford, Ore., she was a nurse, nursing teacher, explorer, seeker, world traveler, artist and writer, breast cancer survivor and community volunteer who was active in the Big Island AIDS Project.
