Future justices

Future justices

During the Oct. 19 final presidential debate, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton made a telling prediction you might not have caught.

Clinton expressed her support for gun regulations and the senseless killing of children. But on the other hand, she staunchly opposes any regulations against partial-birth abortion.

With no hesitation, Clinton voiced her support for the (“evolved”) constitutional rulings by the Supreme Court on abortion, including partial-birth abortion. Clinton stated, “These laws need to be enforced and backed up with resources and political will. Deep-seeded cultural codes and religious beliefs have to be changed.”

Religious beliefs have to be changed? How? Pretty certain Catholics and evangelicals aren’t giving up their beliefs. No, the law of the land would have to change. Like our protection under the First Amendment pertaining to religious freedom. This would start a dangerous slippery slope.

The upcoming election will determine the critical path our country will take. Our new president will either appoint Supreme Court justices who will hold a reasonably strict interpretation of our Constitution, or our new president will appoint justices open to “tinkering” and changing the very foundation of America.

Please vote. It matters.

Liberty at stake

Wake up, Hawaii. For 55 of my 70 years, I have been in business, industry and self-employed. I’ve seen the good times. I’ve seen the bad times. I’ve seen administrations come and go.

This clown in power and his supported successor do not have a clue how to run or “right” an economy. These charlatans in power are playing on your emotions and hatreds.

Don’t be stupid. Self-government requires self-discipline and a free market system of genuine supply and demand. This economic system has produced the greatest wealth and human success in the history of our world.

Don’t set America back with these socialists and their economy-stifling regulations. Vote smart, my friends.

If Lady Liberty ever needed our help, she needs it now!
