Christmas parade to light up Keaau

Christmas parade to light up Keaau

“Local Kine Christmas” is the theme for the 13th annual Keaau Christmas Light Parade starting at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 10 at Keaau High School and ending at Shipman Gym.

Hosted by the Keaau Community Christmas Parade Committee, participant applications are available at the Keaau Village Market and WH Shipman offices, or call 895-6288 or visit the committee on Facebook.

The public is invited to enjoy the lighted floats, classic cars, marching bands, the relaxing sounds of Christmas carolers, Santa and more.

During the parade, access to Keaau-Pahoa Road between the bypass and Old Volcano Road and to Old Volcano Road between McDonald’s and Keaau Loop will be restricted.

The committee asks everyone to drive carefully and watch for parade participants and spectators.
