Samuel Flores Acacio, 90, of Kapaau died Nov. 6 at home. Born in Ilocos Norte, the Philippines, he was a retired cook for the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church. All-night vigil 6 p.m. Friday (Nov. 18) at the family home, 53-4198 Akoni Pule Highway in Kapaau. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 19) at St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Kapaau. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Burial to follow in church cemetery. Survived by wife, Pacita A. Born in Hana, Maui, he was a retired machinist, jack-of-all-trades, U.S. Coast Guard veteran, member of Molokai Veterans Caring for Veterans, board member of Molokai Occupational Center and Molokai Land Trust, and bonsai enthusiast.
