Troop 95 Scout achieves Eagle rank
Isaac Seth Kainalu Klein, a member of Boy Scout Troop 95 in Hilo, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout — Scouting’s highest award.
As a service to the county Department of Parks and Recreation, Klein’s Eagle project consisted of installing a chain link fence atop an existing concrete brick wall and planting palm trees near the barrier at the Ainaola Park basketball court.
The project involved the coordination of a volunteer group that included friends, family and fellow Scouts.
Klein, a 2016 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Hawaii, is continuing his education at San Jose State University in the field of microbiology. He is the son of Karie Klein of Hilo and Seth Klein of Reno, Nev.
Troop 95 is sponsored by the Taishoji Soto Mission, Hilo.
