Interfaith Communities in Action is sponsoring its annual Community Thanksgiving Celebration at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Church of the Holy Cross, 440 W. Lanikaula St. in Hilo.

Choirs from 12 different faith communities from Puna to Honomu will offer musical thanks, in styles coming from six faith traditions and a multitude of nations. The evening’s theme, reflecting the interfaith community’s efforts to reduce homelessness, is “To Make a Home.”

A cash offering received that evening will support the ICIA’s new emergency housing fund. Food offerings will be contributed to the Food Basket.

Church of the Holy Cross is celebrating 125 years of ministry in Hilo this year. A member of the United Church of Christ, it also hosts six other worshiping congregations each week and is committed to serving all members of the community.
