Born in Pahala, he was a laborer for Hawaiian Pines on Lanai, retired heavy equipment operator for Isemoto Contracting Co. and member of Kamalumalu Kumiai, Kona Daifukuji Soto Mission, Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 and U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 4) at Daifukuji Soto Mission in Honalo. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by son, Ross (Paige) Honda of Holualoa; daughters, Sharon (Robert) Rapoza of Waimea and Annette Honda of Holualoa; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and cousins.
