Setsue “Sue” Abe, 86, of Hilo died Dec. 2 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Koloa, Kauai, she taught at Waikiki Elementary School, retired from Keaau Elementary School and was a member of the Hawaii Education Association. Private services. Survived by daughter, Alison (Earl) Inouye; sisters, Sumiko Robinson, Hifumi (Harry) Sato and Tsukiko (Clarence) Andrade; brothers, Kenji Yasaka and Hoshiichi “Butch” (Carol) Yasaka; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Clarence Melchor Esposo, 75, of Hilo, formerly of Honolulu, died Dec. 2 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Kohala, he was a retired mortgage broker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 20) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Jane Esposo of Hilo; sons, Ian Esposo of Las Vegas and Jason Esposo of Texas; daughters, Lauren Esposo of Honolulu and Cayla Esposo of Hilo; mother, Filomena Magno of Hilo; sister, Marilyn (John) Saplan of Hilo; one granddaughter; an aunt, nieces and nephews. Robert Kalua Holi Jr., 93, of Hilo died Dec. 7 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Waimea, Kauai, he was retired from Keaukaha Elementary School and a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts).
