• In a commencement ceremony Friday, Maile Horita of Hilo received a master of science in oriental medicine degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill.
National University of Health Sciences, a nonprofit educational institution with locations in Illinois and Florida, offers a wide range of master of science in oriental medicine degrees in health sciences, including chiropractic and naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, oriental medicine, massage therapy and biomedical sciences.
• Kishawn Tualaulelei of Kailua-Kona graduated with a bachelor of arts degree during Chadron State College’s winter commencement Friday.
Chadron State College, founded in 1911, is a four-year, regionally accredited college in western Nebraska.
Honor roll
• True Tamplin of Pahoa and Alexandria Todd of Kailua-Kona were among 1,575 students named to the fall 2016 dean’s list at Biola University. The dean’s list honors students with a GPA of 3.60 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credit units and whose cumulative GPA is at least a 3.20.
Biola University, founded in 1908, is a leading Christ-centered university in La Mirada, Calif.
