Mabel Benevides Damasco, 94, of Pepeekeo died Dec. 6 in Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired housekeeper for the former Naniloa Hotel in Hilo and was a member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Big Island Portuguese Culture Club, Pepeekeo Community Association, Kaupakuea Homestead Community Association and Immacualate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.
