A 35-year-old Pahoa man was arrested Monday on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder after turning himself in to police.

A 35-year-old Pahoa man was arrested Monday on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder after turning himself in to police.

Helani Kenui is alleged to have fired a revolver into an occupied vehicle Saturday at the 100 block of Makaala Street in Hilo.

The bullet entered the driver’s side front window.

Two men who were in the car at the time. No one was injured, police said.

Kenui is being held at the Hilo cellblock while the investigation continues.
