The state Department of Health levied an administrative penalty of $2,800 against Safeway Inc. “for failure to submit payments and reports required of beverage distributors.”
Hawaii beverage distributors must submit monthly reports and payments. State officials allege Safeway was delinquent for August 2016.
“Safeway received multiple written notices reminding them of reporting requirements prior to being assessed a penalty,” according to a DOH statement. Safeway has the option to appeal.
