Michael John O’Keefe, 86, of Marshfield, Mass., and formerly of Kalaoa, died Jan. 12 in Ashland, Mass. Born in Roslindale, Mass., he was a baker and consultant to the former O’Keefe &Sons Bread Bakers in Hilo, a power boater, and a Yankee barn and dry stonewall builder, founder and president of a hospital, library and public employees labor union. Survived by children, Rosemary, Kathleen, James and Janice; siblings, Thomas Keefe, Lorraine Keefe, Judy Phillips and Pauline Kryzak.
